Ocakköy is a carefully renovated village houses set in enormous grounds, where the overriding feeling is of space and tranquillity. The superb views stretch across the plains into the distance and really show the beautiful setting in unspoilt countryside.

Ocakköy holiday village, is situated on a peaceful hillside, hidden behind pine forests, halfway between Fethiye and Ölüdeniz.

Since 1985 the formerly deserted place has been lovingly restored and transformed into an unusual holiday village with modern standards. Narrow stone paths under old and shady olive trees lead to the new village centre with 2swimming pools and the restaurant. A further pool area including a Jacuzzi as well as a children's paddling pool is located directly below the village. "Ocak" means hearth or fireplace, "köy" stands for village; as in the old times you will find at least one open fireplace in nearly every cottage in Ocakköy. This is not the only thing that remains unchanged since then: chickens are scratching wherever they like and roost in the trees and the tortoises are looking for the sunniest spot to relax in. Soon you will recognize the call of the goat shepherdess, when she is herding her flock to the pasture; also the farmer's wife who is living next to the restaurant likes to graze her cow on the green patches between the cottages. Soon you will be familiar with the locals and will be known by them.
