KOCAGOL COTTAGE (by lake)
Kocagol is a tiny lakeside village of just 6 houses, located on a rough road on Sarsala Beach, just 10 minutes' drive from the Dalaman airport and the Sarsala beach. It is inhabited by warm hearted, unspoiled hospitable old fashioned village families who always have a smiling face and a helping hand. Their simple way of life allows them to live off their land, producing wheat for their bread and keeping chickens and goats to produce eggs, milk and cheese. At different times of the year they collect wild herbs which they dry and sell, so that sometimes the air brings fragrant wafts of thyme and sage on the breeze.
Kocagol Cottage, surrounded by olive trees and set back of on a hillside overlooking the lake with such seemingly wild and untouched surroundings, may be surprising for you to find such a comfortable and well-equipped accommodation. The house is surrounded by a well cared garden, beugonvillas, basils, oleander, honeysuckle and roses and a big grapevine which provides the cool shade facing the lake view. In the garden there are locust tree, mulberry, acacia and old olive trees.
The house consists of a large bedroom, large bathroom, a small store room, a large living area and an open kitchen. Smartly decorated with rustic style you are away from TV, computers or newspapers unless of course you voluntarily bring them along with you. All you hear during the day and sometimes at night will be birds, chicken, rooster, goats' neck bells, and a distant dog barking.
At night, you can watch the unobscured sky full of stars and the moon depending on the time of the month. You can peacefully read all the books that you could not find the time and observe the beautiful nature.

A rented car would be useful to pay visits to the neighbouring towns and bays. Sarsala is the closest with its breathtaking view when you drive down from the hill towards the beach. The municipality of Dalaman conveniently built a nice tea house and showers where you can have your lunch under the olive trees and enjoy the crystal clear waters of Mediterranean.
Kocagol is untouched, very clean and serene lake and a canoe is waiting just for you, tied to a small wooden jetty. You can row all around the lake and discover the hidden beauties surrounding the shores.
Upon your arrival the fridge can be filled with food and drinks you like, as you have ordered in advance. For the rest of your vacation it depends on your imagination and needs, whether you do not move anywhere else and just enjoy the countryside of this hidden beauty of the Mediterranean or drive around and discover the neighbouring coves like Sarsala, Boynuzbuku, Kille, Lakoz or many of the historic and natural beauties of Dalaman, Dalyan, Fethiye, Gocek, only to come back to the peaceful cottage by the lake.
Anyway, an unforgettable vacation awaits you.
